How common are dogs to have colitis after surgery? - colitis more condition_treatment infants

My chi had a perianal hernia surgery 2 months ago. Today was diagnosed with colitis. Is there a connection between the two? Do you think my vet has the wrong move, or what?

  1. If there two months between the two, then do not, they are not linked. Ulcerative actually means "inflammation of the colon and are not in anyway related to the hernia surgery. There are many things that could bring in ulcerative ... Stress, a new food or treat, and he went into some something he had not.
More than likely that your veterinarian will prescribe medication for them ... type most commonly prescribed and must be quickly resolved.
    Good luck

  2. It can be caused by antibiotics and painkillers are prescribed after the surgery, but they must be patient. I think it's just a coincidence. Colitis has several causes, and, after surgery, but spent much time since the surgery either at the root of the problem.
